Othello 35, East Valley 13

YAKIMA — Steven Ochoa had four rushing touchdowns and Othello improved to 3-0 in the Central Washington Athletic Conference North division after beating East Valley 35-13.

Ochoa had rushing touchdowns of five, 32, 22, and 26 yards, totaling 165 yards on the ground. Isaac Barragan added 129 rushing yards to bludgeon the Red Devils.

Pat Azevedo ignited the Huskies with a first-quarter punt return for a touchdown.

Othello hosts Ellensburg on Friday with a chance to wrap up the North league championship.

Royal 35, Connell 0

CONNELL ­— Royal stymied Connell’s offense and won the rivalry game 35-0.

Caleb Christensen passed for 263 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for a score. The Knights steadily pulled away with at least one touchdown in every quarter.

The Eagles managed 106 yards on the ground, but were held to 51 passing yards. Cooper Christensen caught four passes for 91 yards and a touchdown; Aldo Farias and Tyler Allred also caught touchdown passes.

Royal hosts Kiona-Benton on Friday with first place in the South Central Athletic Conference East on the line.

River View 40, Wahluke 16

KENNEWICK — Wahluke’s skid continued after a 40-16 loss to River View.

Robert Nunez put the Panthers up early after two touchdown passes in the first quarter. The Panthers opened up a 19-0 lead before Luke Yorgesen caught a 19-yard touchdown from Wahluke quarterback Oscar Perez.

The Warriors entered halftime down 26-8 and fell behind 40-8 in the third quarter. Tony Cruz led Wahluke with 114 rushing yards.

Wahluke will look to end its losing streak Friday at home against College Place.

Warden 42, College Place 22

COLLEGE PLACE — Ryan Arredondo threw for three touchdowns and Warden beat College Place 42-22.

Michael Egia, Tyson Wall and Kaden Skone caught touchdowns; Wall totaled four receptions for 129 yards. Holden Haworth had 120 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

Warden hosts Connell on Friday in a game with serious playoff implications.
