GTA renews People For People contract
MOSES LAKE — Grant Transit Authority (GTA) is once again partnering with Yakima-based social service provider People For People (PFP) as the provider for “demand response transportation” for disabled residents in Grant County. GTA renewed PFP’s contract during the April 16 board meeting.
According to a People For People press release, the organization has provided transportation services to disabled residents in the Grant and Adams counties for the past 24 years. PFP transports those with disabilities to medical appointments, grocery shopping and other services they need.
In addition to the on-demand service, People For People operates three scheduled bus routes taking people to and from clinics and hospitals in Grant, Adams, Lincoln and Douglas counties. They also operates food banks, non-emergency medical transportation services, employment training, meal deliveries and 211 social service information hotlines across Eastern Washington.
