CARES Act funds to be received by Grant and Adams counties
OLYMPIA — Five cities in Adams County, 15 cities in Grant County and both Adams and Grant county governments will be receiving money under the CARES Act. The allocations are being made based on the number of residents each municipality has.
The Washington State Department of Commerce is distributing close to $300 million in funds provided by the federal government. The government entities receiving the money are being allowed to use the funds as needed to help with public health, small businesses support and other places as needed.
Adams County is to receive $1,108,250. Hatton, Lind and Washtucna are all to receive $25,000 each. Ritzville will receive $49,800, while Othello will receive $250,350. The government of Grant County will receive $5,430,700. The southern Grant County cities to receive funds are Mattawa, Royal City and Warden. Royal City will receive $68,850. Warden will get $82,950. Mattawa will receive $147,600.
Other cities in Grant County to receive funds are Coulee City, Electric City, Ephrata, George, Grand Coulee, Hartline, Krupp, Moses Lake, Quincy, Soap Lake and Wilson Creek.
