COLUMBIA BASIN — It’s the theme of thousands of graduation speeches – one (metaphorical) door closes for the class of 2019 over the next two weekends. Graduation ceremonies are scheduled at Columbia Basin schools May 31 and June 1, and June 7

Royal High School leads off graduation season with the ceremony at 7 p.m. May 31 at David Nielsen Memorial Field, the high school football field. The high school is located at 955 Ahlers Rd. Othello High School graduation is set for 7:30 p.m. May 31 at Huskie Field, directly behind the high school, 340 S. Seventh Ave. Wahluke High School graduation is scheduled for 1 p.m. June 1 at the high school gym, 505 N. Boundary Rd. The graduation ceremony for the Warden High School class of 2019 will be in the WHS gym, 101 Beck Way.
