ADAMS COUNTY — A multi-agency, multi-county investigation last week into a residential burglary in Adams County resulted in four arrests and the recovery of several stolen guns.
The arrests stem from an investigation conducted by the Adams County Sheriff’s Office regarding a residential burglary in the county. Several items, including rifles, handguns and ammunition, were reportedly stolen during the burglary.
Deputies served several search warrants as their investigation continued. Each warrant yielded the recovery of stolen property, which included guns stolen during the initial burglary and other incidents. The investigation led ACSO deputies to the town of Mesa in Franklin County, where another stolen gun was recovered.
Further information was gathered with regard to a residence in Pasco, where deputies, with assistance from the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and the Pasco Police Department, a warrant was served. The ACSO says guns, a motorcycle and several items stolen from Adams County were found at the Pasco location.
Two suspects from Adams County and two from Pasco have been arrested and booked into jail, with three others facing possible future charges.
“Cases like these are difficult due to the items changing hands so fast. In just hours stolen items are trafficked several miles,” stated the ACSO. “Great work by our team, and surrounding agencies we appreciate the assistance.”
